Portrait sessions

I photograph people the same way I photograph everything else — in natural light, outdoors, paying attention to the moments between the posed ones. Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, usually around golden hour, and every client receives a private online gallery for viewing, downloading, and ordering prints of their photographs.

Prints & licensing

Selected photographs are available in the print shop as open-edition fine art prints on archival matte paper — and almost any photograph on this site can be printed on request. For editorial or commercial photo licensing, send a note with the image and intended use.

Collaborations

I'm open to working with brands and publications whose work belongs outdoors. If the project is about noticing things — places, gear, slow mornings, back roads — we'll probably get along.

Where are you based?
I'm a nature photographer based in Denver, Colorado. Most of my work is made around Colorado, but I often travel and the camera goes wherever I go.
What do you photograph?
Mostly nature and wildlife — animals, landscapes, and the other things that I enjoy as I walk past — plus natural-light portrait sessions or general outdoor sessions.
Do you do portrait sessions in the Denver area?
Yes. Sessions are relaxed, outdoors, usually around golden hour, and every client gets a private online gallery to view, download, and order prints.
What should I expect and wear for a session?
Expect a relaxed, unhurried hour or so outdoors, mostly candid rather than stiffly posed. Wear something you feel like yourself in — solid colors and natural tones tend to photograph best against the outdoors, and layers give us options as the light changes.
Are you available for travel or location shoots?
Often, yes. Email me with what you have in mind.
